Farewell to Foggy Bottom

With business of State completed...

Kidding, of course. The bureaucrat's life is sometimes dull, but business is never finished. That said, I'm wrapping up my fellowship at the State Department and headed back to work for Senator Nelson as his Military Legislative Assistant. I am very excited about the new permanent position and am looking forward to rejoining the team.

My time at state was incredibly rewarding. I worked in the Secretary's Office of Global Partnerships where I met some great people and learned a lot about working on teams. I also worked in the Bureau of Conflict and Stabilization Operations, where I was pleased no matter how depressing the world gets, there are people who care deeply about fixing it. Many thanks to all those who taught me along the way!
